NINJAH CORE WEIGHT TRAINING may be a contradiction in terms because compared to normal weight training, the NINJAH system doesn’t resemble weightlifting at all. In fact, the minimal movement of the weights makes one wonder if the body is benefiting at all. In traditional weight training, the strengthening of muscles requires the weight to be moving with the exertion of the body. Therein lies the difference not only in the movement, but in the purpose of weight training. NINJAH CORE WEIGHT TRAINING’S secondary goal is strengthening and is achieved by holding not pushing or pulling the weight. The primary goal is to stretch the muscles and integrate the bulk and finer muscles for a more powerful body. The movement comes from breathing and the opening of tension areas in the body. Rather than muscular exertion from the body, the mass weight of the body is used to counterbalance the resistance weight being used. Thus the stretching occurs from breathing and overloading the tension with blood and oxygen. The muscles are heated and the tension is released in a simple manner. In fact, one of the effects of the training very much resembles the effect of a majorly deep tissue massage. The benefits of sports massage on performance is well documented. The savings in time and money alone would be enough but the superior tension relief will make a believer of even the most skeptical of athletes. But the most important benefit of NINJAH CORE WEIGHT TRAINING is the access to unused leverage muscles which have up to now been neglected and overlooked because of the conventional use of weights and the design of weight machines. By using the weights and machines in the NINJAH way, another primary goal is achieved. Core training is on the cutting edge when it comes to peak performance. Along with plyometrics, core training has taken the world’s athletes to the next level. But one must ask an important question at this point. How is it that a rehab based system is being used by world class athletes? How is it possible that stability and balance could have been overlooked on the way to excellence in performance? The speed and growth of the sports industry since aerobics hit the scene in the early 70’s has at times required the athlete to adjust to incomplete research, over-hyped marketing and dangerous drugs. Liquid protein, steroids and growth hormones, fen-fen and most recently ephedrine have all been touted to be the next step in peak performance in their time. In each case, numerous deaths have stopped their use and in other cases not. Such is the case with weight machines. The number of new weight training machines and systems continues the search for the perfect machine. In fact, the body is perfect and if we could understand that integrated with the Martial Arts principles of movement in gravity and centrifugal force, peak performance would not cost so much injury and shorten many great careers in Sports. On the way to finding the perfect weight machine, Ninjah Core Weight Training will cause those who seek peak performance with less effort, to breathe a sigh of relief. |
